IL TEATRO D’OPERA
Scena e aria: studio di un brano proposto dal candidato per la sua messinscena.
I testi di riferimento sono scelti dal docente annualmente.
ESAME di IDONEITA’:
Prova pratica:
- Recitazione ed interpretazione di un testo poetico o teatrale preparato dal candidato
- Improvvisazione ed interpretazione di un testo letterario o teatrale proposto a prima vista al candidato in cui lo stesso dimostra di aver acquisito un’indipendenza interpretativa e tecnica di declamato, dizione, comprensione, intenzione
- Interpretazione di una breve scena e aria tratta dal repertorio operistico
Prova teorica:
- Analisi del libretto d’opera da cui è tratta la scena
- Conoscenza generale di nozioni di costume e di elementi teatrali
- Breve discussione sulla teoria trattata durante il corso (metodo Stanislavskij)
Seconda annualità
DIZIONE – LETTURA ESPRESSIVA:
Esercitazioni pratiche su testi poetici o teatrali.

Percorso generale di elementi di storia del teatro e del costume dall’800 ai giorni nostri.

Scena di insieme: studio di una scena di insieme presentata dal candidato per la messinscena.
I testi di riferimento sono scelti dal docente annualmente.
ESAME FINALE:
Prova pratica:
- Recitazione ed interpretazione di un testo poetico o teatrale preparato dal candidato
- Improvvisazione ed interpretazione di un testo letterario o teatrale proposto a prima vista al candidato in cui lo stesso dimostra di aver maturato conoscenze interpretative e tecniche di declamato, dizione, comprensione, intenzione.
- Interpretazione di una scena e aria tratta dal repertorio operistico
- Interpretazione di una scena di insieme tratta dal repertorio operistico
Prova teorica:
- Analisi del libretto d’opera da cui sono tratte le due scene interpretate
- Conoscenza generale di nozioni di costume e di elementi teatrali
- Breve discussione sulla teoria trattata durante il corso (Grotowski e Barba)

ELOCUTION – EXPRESSIVE READING:
Voice and word and their laws – Practical exercises on poetic or theatrical texts.
GESTURES AND SCENIC MOVEMENTS:
The body inside the scenic space.
THEORY AND TECHNIQUE:
Theatrical subject analysis and opera libretto related to the work of the actor/actress on himself/herself.

COSTUMES AND THEATRICAL ELEMENTS NOTIONS:
From the origins to the ‘700.
OPERA THEATRE:
Scene and aria: study of a piece proposed by the candidate for his/her production.
All the text references are chosen by the teacher every year.
QUALIFYING EXAMINATION:
Practice:
- Recitation and interpretation of a poetic or theatrical text chosen by the candidate
- Improvisation and interpretation of a theatrical or literary text proposed in sight-reading by the candidate, on order to demonstrate the acquisition of interpretative independence and recitative technique, elocution, comprehension and intention.
- Short scene and aria interpretation from the opera repertoire.
Theory
- Analysis of the practice exam scene libretto
- General notion of costumes and theatrical elements
- Short discussion about the course theory (Stanislavskij method)
Second Year
ELOCUTION AND EXPRESSIVE READING:
Practical exercises on poetic or theatrical texts.
GESTURES AND SCENIC MOVEMENTS:
The body inside the scenic space.
THEORY AND TECHNIQUE:
Analysis of the theatrical subject and the libretto.
The theatre of Grotowskij and Eugenio Barba.
COSTUME HISTORY:
General elements of theatre and costume history from the ‘800 to today.
OPERA THEATRE:
Scene and aria: study of a piece proposed by the candidate.
Ensemble scene: study of a group scene presented by the candidate.
All the text references are chosen by the teacher every year.
FINAL EXAM:
Practice:
- Recitation and interpretation of a poetic or theatrical text chosen by the candidate
- Improvisation and interpretation of a theatrical or literary text proposed in sight-reading by the candidate, on order to demonstrate the acquisition of interpretative independence and recitative technique, elocution, comprehension and intention.
- Interpretation of a scene and an aria from the opera repertoire.
- Interpretation of an ensemble scene from the opera repertoire.
